Stem education speaker6/21/2023 ![]() ![]() Following the international and german discussion, we distinguish the forms of Research-Based Learning. However, they can also be found in particular in the book by Gabi Reinmann and Ludwig Huber on the topic, which is essential for Germany. In our discussion, the distinction between the three forms of research-based learning, which can also be found in the international literature, has proved helpful. We will first present the theoretical foundations as we use them at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Various concepts have been developed and refined in exchange with the international discussion. He served as a Distinguished Lecturer with the IEEE-Vehicular Technology Society from 15 and Distinguished Speaker from 21. He is also the Director of the Grainger Power Electronics and Motor Drives Laboratory. He is currently a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Academic Director of the Kaplan Institute of Innovation and Tech Entrepreneurship at Illinois Tech. Mahesh Krishnamurthy received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, Texas in 2008. This leads us to reframe the earlier question to- “How can we create a platform that allows active engagement and mentorship between industry professionals and students?
